  • Applicants are required to have finished or is finishing a 4-year bachelor’s degree in the arts or sciences from a Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recognized college or university with any of the following subjects as major or field of concentration:

  • Political Science

  • Philosophy

  • English

  • Economics

  • History

  • A bachelor’s degree holder in a field other than those mentioned above must have earned the following minimum number of units:

  • English: 12 Units

  • History or Economics: 9 Units

Juris Doctor (J.D). - Angeles University Foundation

  • A holder of a four-year bachelor's degree from a duly recognized institution and has earned at least (1) 18 units in English; (2) 6 units in Mathematics; (3) 18 units in Social Science (History, Political Science, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, etc.); provided however, a holder of a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree with deficiencies of not more than 9 units in these subjects may still be admitted if the units of deficiencies are taken by student during the first curriculum year;

  • Applicant must have obtained a general weighted average of at least 85% subject to the provisions in paragraph 6.

  • Applicant must successfully pass the AUF Law Admissions Test which also includes two essays whose topics shall be determined by the  School.

  • Applicant  must hurdle an evaluation interview before the Admissions Committee.

  • An applicant who does not meet the required general minimum weighted average of 85% but produces satisfactory essays and possesses a satisfactory character reference may be admitted "on probation" if he/she passes the AUF law admissions tests and the evaluation interview before the Admissions Committee; however, the student may apply for a change status from probationary to regular after completing the first semester, with an average of at least 78% with no failures or incomplete grade in any subject, provided further that the School Dean, on the recommendation of the School Admissions Committee, evaluates and decides on the application for change of status.

  • Transfer credits may be allowed on a case-to-case basis at the discretion of the Dean, in consultation with the School of Law Admissions Committee.


Philippine Bar Examination

Admission to the Philippine Bar

  • Citizens of the Philippines

  • At Least 21 years old of age

  • Of good moral character

  • When candidates file applications with the Office of the Bar Confidant – Supreme Court, they must submit two testimonials of Good Moral Character executed by members of the Philippine Bar and a Certificate of no Derogatory Record from the law school.

  • A resident of the Philippines


Educational Requirements

  • Must also prove that they have completed four years of high school, earned a four-year bachelor of arts or bachelor of sciences degree, and studied law as a postgraduate degree for an additional four years.

  • The Legal Education Board (LEB) also requires that bar applicants complete specific coursework during college. Applicants must have accumulated at least:

  • 18 units of English

  • 6 units of mathematics, and 

  • 18 units of social science during college.

  • In 2016, the LEB added additional educational requirements in an effort to improve the quality of legal education. Those seeking admission to any law school must first take and pass a uniform nationwide Philippine Law School Admission Test. Additionally, applicants shall not be admitted to the Bar Exam unless they have satisfactorily completed the following courses in a law school duly recognized by the government:

  • Civil Law

  • Commercial Law

  • Remedial Law

  • Criminal Law

  • Legal Ethics

  • Political Law

  • Labor and Social Legislation

  • Medical Jurisprudence

  • Taxation

  • Public and Private International Law

  • Applicants must have obtained their law degrees in schools located within the Philippines. In March 2010, the Supreme Court amended Rule 138 of the Rules of Court by allowing Filipino citizens who have studied law in a foreign country to take the Philippine Bar Exam upon compliance with the following requirements

  • Completion of all courses leading to a degree of Bachelor of Law or its equivalent;

  • Recognition or accreditation of the law school by the proper authority;

  • Completion of all fourth-year subjects in a law school duly accredited by the Philippine government; and

  • Proof of completing a separate bachelor’s degree.


NOTE: All applications for bar admission must be filed with the Supreme Court through the Office of the Bar Confidant. Applicants’ degrees, including high school, college, and law school, must be from officially approved and recognized schools, as authorized by the Secretary of Education. Applicants must file affidavits attesting to such facts, accompanied by certificates from each university or school of law. Further evidence may be required by the court.

    • Develop a strong understanding of HR fundamentals, such as recruitment, employee relations, and HR policies and procedures.

    • Enhance skills in areas relevant to HR, such as communication, problem-solving and data-analysis.

    • Network and build connections with HR professionals through extra-curricular activities, and career fairs.

    • Graduate from my current undergraduate program with Latin honors.

  • MID-TERM GOALS

    • Secure a full-time entry-level position in HR (HR Assistant to HR Coordinator). This can help develop or enhance necessary skills through hands-on experience.

    • Pursue additional certifications on training programs in the Philippines to enhance knowledge and credibility in the field.

    • Take on increasing responsibilities in the HR department.

    • Build a professional reputation as a reliable and competent HR professional.

    • Be a strong candidate for HR Manager promotion.


  • LONG-TERM GOALS

    • Continue advancing in the HR field by securing my promotion and become a HR Manager in a reputable and known organization/company.
